WHAT IS TAT?

TAT is a wonderful process that delivers inner peace, relaxation, more vibrant health and empowerment in minutes.  I have been using TAT with my patients since 1994; I am still impressed by the simplicity and effectiveness of this technique.

The technique was developed in the 1990’s by acupuncturist Tapas Fleming.  Initially used for alleviating allergies and sensitivities, the TAT protocol has now expanded to treat emotional traumas, stress and anxiety, limiting beliefs and more.  Issues that have held people down for years, memories that cause pain long after the event, the stress of work, relationships, all can be relieved in a matter of minutes.

 

HOW DOES TAT WORK?

The technique is very simple.  The fingers are placed at various acupuncture points on the head.  While holding this position, the person is guided to place their attention on various statements relating to the problem.  You don’t have to “do” anything.  You just hold the pose and go through the TAT Steps.  This gentle technique is suitable for everyone, even children.  However, don’t be fooled by its simplicity, it is extremely powerful.

 

IS IT THERAPY?

TAT is not therapy, nor counseling.  There is no reliving of traumatic incidents, no analyzing of negative situations.   The technique is classed as “Energy Psychology” – and works by releasing underlying energy disturbances from our energy system, simply and easily, helping our conscious/unconscious mind to recognize and deal with the root cause of our particular issues, behaviors and beliefs.

 

WHAT IS ENERGY PSYCHOLOGY?

Bruce Lipton, PhD, Cellular Biologist and best selling author describes Energy Psychology therapies as follows:

RESEARCH STUDIES ON TAT

In a study conducted in 2005 by Kaiser Permanente and funded by the National Institute of Health, TAT has been proven effective for weight loss maintenance.  Participants in the study found the technique easy to learn, easy to apply and helpful for managing food cravings and stress. Kaiser was so impressed by the results they are conducted a larger study in 2008.
